Umbrella Strollers
Umbrella strollers are included in the lightweight baby stroller category. This category includes all strollers under 15lbs that are sometimes referred to as umbrella strollers. Umbrella strollers are light weight strollers that have two U-shaped handles and fold in on themtselves. Some light weight strollers fold flat and do not fit the classification.
After your baby reaches toddler years, you may not always need or want to cart them around in your full size stroller, that is where the umbrella strollers come in. Small and compact, umbrella strollers are perfect for a quick trip to the store, or long trip where bringing your standard stroller isn't practical (ie air travel).
The best selling and top performing umbrella strollers to consider are:
Chicco C6: (MSRP $69.99) With front and rear suspension your little passenger will have a smooth ride and with shoulder strap and travel bag it's easy to take with you anywhere. At 11lbs it's one of the lightest in the umbrella strollers category.
EvenFlo X-Sport: (MSRP $49.99) Plenty of storage for you, but not the greatest seat for baby.
Graco IPO: (MSRP $89.99) Larger front swivel wheels add to maneuverability, but the price tag and 17lb weight makes it not as good as the Chicco C6.
Maclaren Quest Sport (MSRP $245.99) While very costly, this is the dream umbrella stroller! It weights only 11lbs but can hold a kid up to 55lbs. Loaded with great features and convenient options if you have the money it's a must have.
Umbrella strollers can't carry an infant car seat and should not be used with babies under six months unless they have a reclining seat. They are primary designed for toddlers and due to their size will not offer the same features and accessories as full size strollers. Some areas to consider when looking for an umbrella stroller are: * durability * comfort * convenient features or accessories * easily folded * safety
Umbrella strollers can cost around $10 to $800! Like anything else in this world, you get what you pay for. A good stroller can feel like it's worth its weight in gold after a long day.
Pick a umbrella stroller that is a nice mix between value and features and that fits your lifestyle in order to insure you get the most out of your purchase. You will most likely use this stroller a lot and will have it a very long time, so choose wisely and don't be afraid to spend a little money on it.

Frequently Asked Questions...
Whats the best booster car seat and...?
We have the graco comfort sport right now and my 3 year old can unlock the chest piece and take her arms out. I have been doing research and have found the safest booster seat to buy is a 5 point harness booster seat...But they all have the chest piece that looks just like the car seat she has now. In my opinion it wouldn't be safe if she keeps unlocking the chest piece.
So should I get a regular booster seat that just uses a seat belt?
or
Is there another 5 pt harness booster with a chest lock thats harder to open?
Answer:
i wouldn't move her too a booster with a seat belt just yet if she thinks its fun to undo the chest piece now just wait til she learns how to undo the buckle
i would try to use something to cover it i took a shoulder strap cover added buttons and button it over the buckle piece on the car seat kids cant get into it but you can. it takes time to measure but its well worth it
