Parents of more than one child: Did you have more than one baby shower or just a baby shower for your first?
I think that every child is special and should be celebrated but my husband and I are having differing opinions on having another shower for our second child. I personally DO NOT want another baby shower because I already saved pretty much everything from my first (clothes, toys, play mats, car seat, bouncy seat, boppy pillow, etc). The only thing I really need to get is a crib- I'm looking into buying a cheap new one or a used one and diapers (I already bought a huge pack on consignment for just $4).
I do feel bad about one thing though- Chase has his baby book filled with all his stuff from his baby shower and Blake won't have that. It kinda makes me feel bad- Is there something I can do special for Blake even though I won't have a baby shower for him that I can put in his baby book too?
Answer:
I personally only had one. I kind of think it's tacky to have more than one unless it's been years since you've had a baby. For the second one you could have a Welcome the new baby party after he's born. That way your not asking for gifts but most people will probably buy him something anyway; and you'd have plenty of pictures with friends and family members to fill his baby book.
