Britax Regent?
Would a Britax Regent be fit for captain chairs on a SUV(GMC Acadia)? I tried looking in carseatdata.org but they don't have anything under this vehicle since its still new. I know the dimensions but unfortunately I can't see the Regent up close since they are out of stock for now. Any owners out there that own a Regent that have it on captain chairs? I own a Britax Marathon right now. Can any owners of the Regent tell me the difference and their experience? Any suggestions would help, thanks!

No carseat will fit in any captain chairs on SUV this seats where designed for our comfort but never design with fitting a carseat in mind. Britax Regent won't be available till Sept/Oct '07. Regent were recalled during the 2nd wk in December, If you want this seat I would wait till late October because the new seat will have the new safety standards, also the only Regent available is online at Babies R Us.com

and yes this seat the new generation Regent
but the only seat that will fit your needs/scenario is called Summit High Back Booster Seat and it cost 1/2 the price of the Regent and you can use ths seat up to 100lbs compared to 80lb on the Regent

in order to make it fit in your Acadia and in any other car with bucket seats is to remove the pin/bar that attaches the base to the actual frame of the seat once you have done this is you will have the perfect fit.
