Great car harley seat
When it comes that will safety, this is definetly a main to get. I know it really is expensive, but how much is the best kid(s)life worth? This seat has each of the bells and whistles and new technology you may think of. Side influence protection, big metal service beams (not plastic for instance most others). But the good thing that I have found keeping this Britax Advocate is that the son's head doesn't slump frontward when he falls asleep within the car. It is angled just right where he rests his exactly the side cushions. the sole thing I find annoying usually even though the seat cover is straightforward to remove for cleansing, it is also the explanation for my annoyance. The side of the seat cover keeps floating over edge. Other than which, I know my son is safe on this seat, and that can be all that matters. remember, you don't get second chances on the subject of safety. Oh, and the seat cover is absolutely soft and plush.
We have been obtaining Britax products after lots of research for our brand new son. We bought the Chaperone stroller and seat system which worked fantastically for people. Now that he can be larger, we had to have an upgrade seat. Britax is probably the few companies that have engineered these products with foresight and testing to own one of fewest recalls into their segment.
This Britax Advocate is actually pretty big. It's comfortable - our son loves to get in it; the padding feels much thicker. it could be a heavy seat.
positives:
1. Safe!
2. well built
3. Comfortable and not too difficult to install
4. They've put in velcro to help keep the straps apart! considerably more convenient now.
Cons:
one. The larger seat width covers the belt buckles in some cars (on the BMW5). The E60 5 is peculiar because the back seat buckles for the side seats do possibly not extend out like additional cars. Or at least we have not been able to acquire them to extend...:)
couple of. There is a line rather than levels to help indicate proper installation. Not a problem, but it was really convenient in the Chaperone.
3. Needed that will put a towel under the seat to obtain it leveled properly. it was before nice on the Chaperone to have the screw leveling system, but this is as well an engineering challenge with the weight it's spec'd compliment.
All in all, it's a very good seat. We wanted one of the best and safest for each of our son. It's like some sort of motorcycle helmet - the reason skimp/compromise on safety?
