March 04, 2004New Survey Spotlights Swing VotersThe Pew Research Center has released a survey that pegs the number of "swing" voters -- those not pre-committed to either President Bush or Senator Kerry -- at about 29 percent of the electorate. This is a considerably higher figure than most political pundits usually cite. According to the survey, most of the swing voters are independents -- the rest are drawn about evenly from the Democratic and Republican party. They tend to support President Bush on the war in Iraq, but have doubts about Bush's handling of the economy. Link: |
